Your Smile Choice is a national network of talented dentists who specialize in full mouth smile rejuvenation. They use Your Smile Choice proprietary protocols which utilize the latest technology for computer-based placement of implants and restorations that are designed stronger than others on the market. The doctors are hand selected and invited to join this network based upon their skills and success in full arch restoration. Your Smile Choice network is focused on beautiful full arch smile rehabilitation, but we help you decide what option is the right solution for you.
Your Smile Choice is unlike any other service. Although every patient comes to us with different dental backgrounds, the procedure is very similar and very fast compared to other services. The goal of our Your Smile Choice doctors is to take the guesswork out by using the latest technology and fully guided surgical technique.
A dental implant is designed to replace the entire tooth, including the root. Implants feel and function just like normal teeth. The base of the implant is made of titanium and is inserted into the jawbone. Titanium implants were invented over 50 years ago with millions placed worldwide. Previously, dentists replaced a missing tooth with a partial denture or a bridge, designed to look like a tooth, that is attached to neighboring teeth. While both options still are used today, dentures and bridges can be uncomfortable, weaken the jawbone, and require periodic replacement.
When a tooth is lost and not replaced, people may experience difficulty chewing foods, and their jawbone will deteriorate faster, increasing the risk of decay and gum disease and losing neighboring teeth. The remaining teeth may shift, causing bite problems, and the facial skin may sag and create an uneven smile.
Dental implants will help you feel better about yourself; they allow you to eat, laugh and smile without reservations. With implants you will be pain and worry free. Dental implants look, function and feel like natural teeth. Your dental health will no longer dictate how you live your life. The space where you are missing a tooth serves as a breeding ground for bacteria and increases your risk of gum disease. You may think gum disease only affects your mouth, but poor oral health and gum disease affect your entire body. This may increase your risk of heart disease, stroke, or diabetes. Filling the missing space with a dental implant may help prevent gum disease and keep both you and your body healthy.
Each case is unique. We take into consideration your bone, your bite and your anatomy. We use a fully guided surgical technique that takes out all guesswork. Some patients will have 4 implants and some can have as many as 6 in one arch, we do what’s right for you. With the all on 4 treatment, every patients case is the same and just 4 implants placed.
Your Smile Choice works with smile simulation technology that allows you to see your new smile before surgery. You capture a nice, full smiling photograph and we send you your beautiful new simulated smile for you to share with loved ones. This new smile helps our team as we work through the treatment process. We want our patients to see their smile before treatment.
Your Smile Choice uses advanced technology and strategic planning to create surgical guides that allow for proper implant placement and position of your implants, which can now make you a candidate, even if you have been told no in the past. The amount of bone loss you have will be factored into your plan. Our network of doctors have the most up to date training and clinical skills, including the use of angled, short, or zygomatic implants.
The Your Smile Choice office will need to do a thorough head and neck exam and review your current medical health history with you during your appointment. If you have any medical conditions that require medical clearance, we will advise you at that time.
With Your Smile Choice we deliver your teeth to you the day of surgery and they are screwed in place. You will not remove them. They are designed to look feel and function like your real teeth.
Procedure Questions
Thanks to our proprietary technology the goal of the Your Smile Choice clinician is to perform the surgery in as little as two hours. Significantly less than a freehand approach. Some surgeries do take a little longer, but you’ll be finished in one morning. Because the Your Smile Choice technique is all pre-planned using sophisticated technology, the day of surgery is very efficient for you. You will leave the office happy with your new smile in place.
All patients are either sleeping or in what we call twilight during the procedure. There is little to no pain during, and very little after. We will keep you comfortable before, during and after surgery.
Dental implants do require some healing time. The discomfort is typically very minimal the day after surgery and will continually improve over the following few days.
A soft diet is needed for the first week, then a full normal diet is fine. In fact, more than likely you will be able to enjoy any food in public with confidence.
We encourage you to not smoke at least for the duration of the healing process. Smoking is always a contraindication to implant placement. It is highly discouraged but ultimately it is your decision.
Yes, absolutely. If diabetes is under control, it is not a contraindication.
