The Your Smile Choice Process
Consultation
Your personal concierge will thoroughly guide you through our complete process from start to finish – they are your advocate.
They will introduce you to a trained Your Smile Choice doctor and their team, are able to discuss the varying benefits of various treatment options, and will constantly check in to see what more Your Smile Choice can do for you.
Exam and Records
This is when you meet a Your Smile Choice doctor and their team for the first time. They will do a comprehensive exam and review your medical history with you. It is important for the team to understand your complete medical history prior to surgery so that the proper medications can be given before, during, and after your procedure.
A 3D CBCT digital scan will be taken, in addition to photographs and molds of your mouth. This information will be sent to a Your Smile Choice Laboratory center where your individualized treatment plan and smile will be created.
Pre-surgical Preparation and Review Surgery Plan
Every patient will receive a tailored treatment plan that is based on their individual anatomy.
The Your Smile Choice Lab will have an online meeting with your doctor to plan your case from start to finish. Your Smile Choice will fabricate a surgical guide that is designed with your finished smile in mind. Each
Your Smile Choice office has its own surgical protocols and may offer different options for your comfort. These options may include but are not limited to, IV sedation, oral sedation, and local anesthesia. It is our goal, to keep you comfortable throughout your entire procedure.
Day of surgery
On the day of surgery, you will need a driver to take you to the Your Smile Choice office and pick you up once the surgery is complete. The surgery will take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours per arch. Having an implant is a surgical procedure that could require anesthesia or sedation (oral or IV) that would prevent you from driving.
Most patients have no recollection of the surgery – they remember going to sleep and waking up with a beautiful new smile. The surgery involves placing your unique customized computer-generated surgical guide, removing any existing failing teeth, placing dental implants, and inserting your beautiful new smile.
This procedure has been completed tens of thousands of times around the world for many years. You’ll wake up with your new smile, follow the recovery instructions, and begin your new life.
Post-op
You will leave the office with your new smile in place. The Your Smile Choice office will review all instructions including any special information.
Periodic Check-ups
You will need to follow proper home care instructions provided to you by the Your Smile Choice team, they will include brushing, flossing, and several other tools. The Your Smile Choice office will have recommendations on how often you will need professional cleanings.
